Apple officially unveiled the latest generation of Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch SE at its Fall 2022 event.

Apple Watch Series 8 features 18 hours of all-day battery life and new health and safety features. Apple Watch Series 8 features a unique dual-sensor temperature measurement design, with one located on the back of the watch near the wrist and the other directly below the display, reducing errors caused by differences between external environments and real body temperature. With Apple Watch Series 8’s new temperature sensing feature, users can receive a push-back estimate of their ovulation date. Knowing the day of ovulation can help with fertility planning, and Apple Watch Series 8 also provides estimates through the Health app, making it easier to plan for fertility. The temperature sensing feature also enhances the accuracy of period prediction.

For the “Car Accident Detection” feature, Apple Watch will ask the user to report when a serious car accident is detected, and if no response is received within 10 seconds, an emergency service call will be made automatically. Emergency responders will receive the user’s device location information, and the user’s emergency contacts will be notified simultaneously. When Apple Watch is used in conjunction with Crash Detection on iPhone, it can help users even more effectively.

The latest generation of Apple Watch SE delivers the core Apple Watch experience, including Activity Log tracking, heart rate change notifications, SOS Emergency Services, and a new feature called Car Accident Detection. The new generation maintains the original case design, but features a redesigned nylon composite back case in the same color, making it lighter than ever. Apple Watch SE is available in Midnight Dark, Starlight and Silver, and in 40mm and 44mm aluminum cases for all watch bands.

Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch SE are available for order from today and will be available from September 16. Readers who are interested may wish to go to the official website for more information.
